Spotify wanted an interactive post format to feature visiting artists in a way that felt more personal than a traditional interview.
Inspired by early-2000s teen magazines, I concepted and designed “Pop Quiz,” a tactile, handwritten Q&A that artists fill out while being filmed. The format blends analog charm with social-media intimacy- seeing the artist’s actual handwriting, crossed-out answers, and doodles creates a sense of authenticity that polished digital graphics can’t replicate.
Each “Pop Quiz” feels like a glimpse into the artist’s notebook: nostalgic, playful, and human, while giving Spotify a flexible visual system they can reuse across campaigns and artist visits.
